General News

I've created the forums, though I'm sure that there will need to be some re-arranging and creation of different forum categories. It's a work in progress.

Forums Online

I've just added a bunch of forum categories for discussions about various aspects of 3D virtual worlds. So far, as they have only just come online and I've only just started the site, there is precious little content, but I hope to change this with everyone's help.

In order to post to the forums, you need to be a member of this site. I'm interested in feedback about this, though. You see, on my personal blog for Newbe Writer, I allow anyone to comment, but you must have at least one article approved before you can comment freely. Unfortunately, I've not found a way to do this with the current forum software. It might be there, but I have yet to find it!

I encourage open discussions of any related topic. If a topic doesn't fit into a defined category, post to the General forum and I'll work on creating an appropriate category. In time, we should have a number of healthy discussions that will hopefully help to guide the future of 3D virtual worlds.

Privacy Policy - KISS version

We are very understanding of the fact that people are weary of giving identity information out on the web. We are too! The whole purpose of requiring users to be registered in order to post to the forums is to ensure that we can keep spam out. We want to make sure that we keep the discussions pertinent.

Your information will be kept in confidence. In fact, we do not, have not, nor will not sell or give away our user lists to anyone except as required by court order. We have to put this one out there just to be sure that people understand that if posting potentially libelous statements, if a jurisdictionally significant court (we operate under the laws applicable to Ontario, Canada) requires us to disclose our user list for litigation, we will comply upon receipt of a valid court order. In other words, keep our jobs simple and friendly by not saying that Such and Such company is a hidious, satanic cult that skewers live farm animals with forks.

Other than the passive advertising on pages, we will not push ads to your system. We hate adware at least as much as anyone else, so we have no intention of doing that to you.

Some of the personal information won't save. I seem to have successfully changed my password and my timezone, but haven't been able to save my webpage or location.
